A BIG INSPIRATION

I can say that he is a big inspiration for me because since i was a girl i hear Hillsong’s music and when i see he in the videos of the concerts it is so visible the passion for the service when he sing and play the guitar as only few people know, and the love for praise to Jesus. He is a big child of God and for the before reasons mentioned he is one of my favorites artist-

Jonathon Douglass or ‘JD’ (as he is known by his childhood nickname) is one of Hillsong Church’s foremost worship leaders and Creative Pastors, and has been a part of the UNITED team since its beginning. JD grew up in Hillsong Church, attending the Hills Campus with his family from the age of 4, and has been involved in its Kids’ and Youth Ministries since that time. He credits the love and encouragement he experienced growing up at Hillsong, as playing a vital role in the development of his passions – the greatest of which is a firm belief in the power of a healthy local church in seeing God’s Kingdom established across the earth. When asked about the influence and opportunities that he has received as a UNITED worship leader – whether they be taking to the stage at some of the world’s top music venues (like the Hollywood Bowl and Red Rocks in Denver), co-writing and recording songs that are sung by millions across the earth, or preaching to packed stadiums – JD responds by explaining how God gave him a revelation that He was ‘looking more for his availability than he was for his ability’, and it all unfolded from there. It is this insight, along with the other foundational concepts of servanthood and humility, which JD seeks to instil in others as he ministers daily in overseeing our Creative Campus Pastors in Australia. His wife Lauren partners him in ministry, and his two beautiful daughters Indie Bo and Sailor Rose are always along for the ride. When JD is not leading worship in church or somewhere else on the globe, or discipling others pastorally, you can find him with his family at the beach or cycling.
